Introduction
Seren is an autonomous SRE incident investigation agent. It connects to your existing tools — GitHub, PagerDuty, Sentry, Loki, Prometheus — and investigates incidents so your team doesn't have to start from zero.
What is Seren?
When an incident fires, the first 15 minutes are spent asking the same questions: What changed? Which service is upstream? Are there related errors in Sentry? What do the logs say? Seren answers all of those automatically.
It uses a ReAct loop — reason, act, observe — to investigate across your connected tools, build a timeline, and surface the most likely root cause with supporting evidence.
Key Concepts
Every investigation starts from an event source and expands through connected systems. Seren treats GitHub, PagerDuty, andSentry as authenticated tools, while Loki and Prometheus are queried by endpoint. That split keeps the toolchain explicit and the investigation budget predictable.
